Aaron Cohn is a partner in the litigation department in Katz Barron’s Miami office. His practice involves a variety of complex business and intellectual property matters, including contractual disputes, business torts, investment fraud, ownership disputes, trademark and copyright claims, false or deceptive advertising, and real estate litigation in state and federal court. He has represented public and private companies, investors, business owners, banks, developers, title companies, property owners, clubs, and trustees. Representative matters include:

  • Trial counsel in shareholder and manager dispute involving control of a limited liability company with significant capital assets
  • Trial counsel in foreclosure and fraud case against a real estate developer
  • Trial and appellate counsel in developer entitlement dispute
  • Lead counsel on numerous U.S. Patent and Trademark inter partes disputes (see below)
  • Attorney-of-record for numerous federal trademark registrations
  • Lead counsel in UCC lien foreclosure action
  • Lead counsel in numerous contractual and leasehold disputes
  • Lead counsel in legal malpractice case against two attorneys
  • Outside general counsel to major cigar manufacturer and distributor
  • Outside general counsel to legal publisher
