Blanco Elected President-Elect Of Bankruptcy Bar, Southern District Of Florida December 9, 2005 MIAMI, FL - Katz Barron attorney Leyza Florin Blanco has been elected President-Elect of the Bankruptcy Bar for the Southern District of Florida. Blanco is a Member of Katz Barron's Restructuring and Creditor Rights Department, practicing in the areas of Bankruptcy Law, Debtor/Creditor Rights Litigation, Workout and Loan Restructuring and Bankruptcy Related Appellate Litigation. She has represented debtors, creditors, trustees and other parties in all facets of bankruptcy proceedings. She has been involved in complex reorganization and corporate restructuring matters, as well as bankruptcy appeals. Blanco is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and the Northern, Middle and Southern districts of the U.S. District Court for Florida. She is a member of The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation. She also is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and is an active participant in the Cuban American Bar Association's mentoring program. Blanco is also and Adjunct Professor in Bankruptcy Law at Nova Southeastern University Law School. A native of Miami, Blanco earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, as well as her Bachelor of Arts from University of Miami.
